Calceranica al Lago
Located on a hill and stretching all the way down to Lake Caldonazzo, Calceranica al Lago is marked by its to twin souls: the lake with its green meadows, campsites, beaches and entertainment areas, and the hills, with their spiral-shaped path. The Church of Sant'Ermete lies halfway up this path, while the parish church of the Assumption - dating back to 1100 - is perched on the top.
At the back of the town, the Vigolana Plateau is a great viewpoint from which to admire the Valsugana valley. Visitors can enjoy a view over the landings on the lake, as well as its sailboats, rowboats, canoes and dragon boats. The verdant, sandy and well-equipped beaches on the edge of the long promenade stretching from the small railway station to the sport centre along the river bank, are dotted with pubs and restaurants catering to a variety of tastes.
The area itself is teeming with apple and soft fruit orchards, which are typical of the Trentino region.
